Is it worth creating videos for my business?
Yes! No matter what type of business you have, you still need to market it and put yourself out there. Videos help to showcase your company and brand, sell products, and drive engagement.
What do I actually need to get started with creating my own videos?
At minimum, you will need a smartphone (or tablet) and either a basic tripod or selfie stick. We will also recommend some other affordable items that you may want to consider to enhance your videos.
What should I wear when recording my videos?
Whatever you feel is on brand is what we recommend.
What are the names of the editing apps and online video maker tool that we will be using during the workshop?
We will be introducing an incredible video maker that gives you easy to use templates, stock video and stock images called WAVE.Video. Feel free to click on THIS LINK to learn more about it. Do I need to wear makeup when capturing my video?
This is a personal decision, but the short answer is no, not really. Some people like to enhance their faces and elect to wear makeup, and others don’t. With proper lighting and a well-thought- out backdrop, many people can get by without makeup.
What if I cannot complete the video workshop during the 5 days?
We get that everyone has busy schedules and unforeseen things come up. Once you purchase access to the Video Content-A-Thon, you will continue to have access to the videos to watch and learn at your own pace. It is recommended to complete the video course as soon as possible so that you get the best benefit out of what you learn, but if it takes you two weeks, we won’t tell.
How much time should I commit to the Video Content-A-Thon each day?
We suggest setting aside a minimum of 2 hours each day to watch the video and then complete the project. The biggest days are Day 2 and Day 3. Depending on what type of video you produce, those two days could take slightly longer than 2 hours.
I feel uncomfortable going on camera. Is creating video going to work for me?
Did you know that creating video is the best way for an introvert to get themselves out there and in front of people? You can create your own videos in the comfort of your home and make yourself seem more extroverted and it’s just easier because you don’t have an audience looking at you.
